This section provides reflections on a decade of Care Act delivery and the state of adult social care from a diverse group of thought leaders from renowned national institutions. Contributors include: Simon Bottery (The Kings Fund), Natasha Curry (Nuffield Trust), Professor Jon Glasby, Dr Laura Griffith (University of Birmingham), Hiba Sameen, Lucinda Allen (Health Foundation), Carmen Colomina, Deborah Rozansky (Social Care Institute for Excellence) and Dr Margaret Blake (IPSOS).


This section provides reflections on a decade of Care Act delivery and the state of adult social care from a diverse group of thought leaders from renowned national institutions. As well as analysing the extent to which the aims of the legislation have been achieved, contributions also offer valuable international comparisons from Germany and Japan, and draw out excellent practice that already exists in England. The crucial element of public opinion also features in this section, confirming the ongoing challenge of limited public understanding of social care.
