The care sector has been identified by the Gangmasters and Labour Abuse Authority as a sector where there is a high risk of labour exploitation, including more severe forms such as modern slavery.
The LGA is aware of a number of councils who have seen cases of modern slavery linked to the care sector locally. We have therefore compiled a list of resources on this topic which councils may find useful.
