Biodiversity e-learning for councils

The LGA has produced an e-learning module on biodiversity aimed at council officers and members.

Climate change hub

This module will provide an introduction to the subject, as well as providing tips and guidance on how councils can take action to protect their natural habitats.

The loss of biodiversity is a global environmental issue which threatens to cause devastating impact to life on earth if action is not taken.

This is now being recognised across the world, as governments, organisations and individuals are including biodiversity in their pledges to make changes that will help to improve our environment and ultimately save our planet.

Councils, council officers and local councillors all have a role to play in ensuring these pledges are carried out at a local level, so it is important that you understand the issues and what can be done to tackle them.
