Shepway District Council (now Folkestone and Hythe District Council) transformed its revenues and benefits service by reinventing the way that the service operated for both the customer and the council. It received recognition for its work when it won the 2018 iESE Award for transforming through technology.

In response to the national Troubled Families Programme, North Somerset Council’s Predicting Early Interventions project aimed to create new digital tools that would analyse family-specific data in the local area.

A single view of a child’s record​​​​​​​As part of its strategic plan, Wigan Council aimed to develop a system which would deliver a single view of a child’s record which is shared across multiple agencies.

Bracknell Forest Council has built on its involvement with the national Self Care Week by running a Year of Self Care and then setting up a community-wide network of clubs and groups that is seeing thousands of local people taking part in activities and looking after their health and wellbeing. Huntingdonshire District Council has worked with its local academic health science network to encourage cancer and cardiac rehab patients to become active and involved in the self-management of their recovery. Patients are being taught how to use remote monitoring technology, while taking part in exercise classes. This forms part of our resource on self care.

Dorset County Council’s digital dashboard project directly supports the county’s ‘Forward Together for Children’ transformational change programme.

The programme provided a productivity expert to support Mendip District Council in enhancing its approach to commercialising service delivery and building capacity and resilience for the future. 

The East Riding of Yorkshire Council’s culture and customer service was looking for skills, capacity and expertise to review commercial operations, including income, pricing and marketing of a range of leisure and tourism services offered in the East Riding, with a focus on leisure, coastal and foreshores. The aim was to provide capacity in developing pricing and marketing strategies and to identify new income generating opportunities.

The council needed to save approximately £200,000 across its leisure service in the 2019/20 financial year and also generate approximately £50,000 of income to offset reduction in funding from the government which would have provided support to maintain service levels.
