Havering Council has developed an online portal to support two-way information sharing between providers and the council.

Rother District Council (RDC) wished to increase the take-up of payment by annual direct debit for the garden waste collection in order to reduce processing and chasing costs. This was specifically to reduce the number of cheques being received, as is the most costly method of payment for the council. This case study forms part of our productivity experts resource.

In July 2017 the London Borough of Islington was hit by a Distributed Denial of Service (DDos) cyber-attack targeted at the council’s online portal for citizens called ‘My e-account’, a part of the website which allows residents to manage their services and payments through a personal online account.

This project was undertaken on behalf of a partnership of local authorities led by Teignbridge District Council and including the other Greater Exeter Strategic Partnership authorities.

Purbeck participated in the Housing Adviser’s Programme (HAP) in order to source additional private rented accommodation to prevent households becoming homelessness.

The council welcomes and supports a vibrant student community within the district, but is also keen to see adequate housing provision for younger single people and couples who may not be students but still need housing.

Middlesbrough Council and NHS England Cumbria and the North East have launched a joint programme “Starting Well” to develop closer links between dental team members and the wider health and social care workforce to increase uptake of both school and dental practice prevention programmes to prevent dental decay in our youngest children.

Brent local authority commissions the delivery of an evidence-based oral health plan to improve child oral health and reduce inequalities, prioritising families with children under 5.

Blackpool’s integrated Children’s Oral Health Improvement System   Case study synopsis (100 words):  

Blackpool, has been developing an integrated approach to improving children’s oral health. This is linked to the focus on the work of the Blackpool Better Start and a recognition that a range of interventions focused on population and individual approaches is required to achieve better life chances for the children of Blackpool.
