Support from the Productivity Experts Programme was secured to assist with the design and delivery of a new joint approach to regeneration and economic growth for the recently established shared Regeneration service of Lewes District Council and Eastbourne Borough Council.

East Sussex County Council consists of coastal areas with multiple deprivations (despite the county overall being relatively affluent) and there is also fluctuation in the demand for mental health services.

As part of the whole system health and care transformation programmes East Sussex Better Together and Connecting For You, East Sussex County Council has developed a system wide asset-based approach to prevention and early intervention with a view to making sustainable change at scale and pace.

In 2014 East Surrey clinical commissioning group (CCG) embarked on a project to improve the medical care of residents of nursing and residential homes (care homes). East Surrey CCG has a significant number of Care Homes with a total of 1,800 beds across the geography. This example of a local initiative forms part of our managing transfers of care resource.

Improving their self-service portal by joining up separate services and achieve “single sign-on approach”. The aim of the project was to include access to Revs and Bens information through the single sign-on.

East Suffolk Council has worked with partners across sectors, through a series of workshops, to develop a wide reaching programme to support local residents with the rising cost of living.

East Staffordshire Borough Council successfully bid for £23.8 million of funding to regenerate Burton upon Trent. Collaborating with key partners including the universities, colleges and the county council has been key to accessing the towns fund and drive regeneration. In doing so, the council aims to cement itself as a place of learning and opportunity and help close the skills gap to achieve long term economic prosperity locally and regionally.

In East Riding a mobile sexual health clinic has been established, allowing staff to take services direct to where people are. It forms part of a multi-pronged approach to reach out to local people, especially the young.
