The Earl's Court redevelopment site spans approximately 28 hectares (69 acres). The site includes the Earls Court Exhibition Centre, a railway depot and the Gibbs Green and West Kensington housing estates. The developer has submitted two planning applications to two local authorities, as the site spans two areas. Both applications are outline planning applications seeking to establish certain principles about the development which will take 20 years to complete. If outline planning permission is granted, detailed proposals will be the subject of further planning applications and consultation at a later date.

The proposed development would provide up to 6,775 homes of which up to 1,500 will be affordable. The redevelopment will regenerate the existing estates and the existing residents will be provided with new homes within the Earl's Court, West Kensington Opportunity Area. The proposed development also includes a range of commercial uses: retail, leisure, hotel, office and culture. There will be also be facilities to cater for the needs of the new population. These include a new primary school, nursery day care facilities, a health hub and a sports hall. It will also include space for community groups. These will be secured by a single s106 agreement which will link the planning applications to ensure comprehensive redevelopment
