LGA appoints new Director of Communications

Nicky Old has been appointed as the new Director of Communications at the Local Government Association. 


Currently Director of Communications and External Relations at Universities UK, Nicky has extensive experience in communications, campaigns and lobbying activities ranging from immigration reform, improving mental health support for students, widening participation and access to higher education. She will join the LGA in the autumn.

Mark Lloyd, Chief Executive of the Local Government Association, said:
