Development Management Officers can play a key role in the preparation, testing and applying design codes. The second of the series of online events focused on the role of Development Management officers in production and use of design codes were held on 21st May & 4th June 2024. These two sessions focused on the pre-adoption/production process.
Three local authority pathfinders of Lake District, Mansfield & Trafford presented across the two session on how Development Management officers are using the authority's design code in preapplication discussions and decision making on planning applications. DLUHC also delivered an update on national guidance on design code use and the pathfinder programme.
