S106 Seminars – February and March 2016

We held S106 seminars designed for local authority planning officers in February and March 2016; the seminars were also relevant to others working in local authorities and councillors.

There was a wide variety of delegates from Housing, Education, and legal backgrounds as well as planners and S106 officers. Whatever your role, if you are involved with developer contributions you will find the presentations and legal papers set out below relevant.

S106 has been and continues to be, affected by changing legislation and the Chancellor made it clear that we can expect further changes many of these are contained in the Housing and Planning Bill and are part of the recent Government consultation. Come along to our S106 seminars in 2016 where we will look at and discuss the changes( and potential changes) to legislation, policy and guidance. We discussed the working relationship between development contributions and how you can most effectively use S106 in the determination of applications to achieve sustainable development.  The S106 Resolution consultation- see below – was the subject of the DCLG workshop and please take the opportunity to give DCLG your views.
