EMP circular 5/2021- police staff pay 2021
Dear colleague
The Trade Union Side (UNISON, UNITE and GMB) undertook a consultative ballot of their members on the Employers’ Side offer:
- a £250 consolidated increase to all police staff on pay points 7-18 from 1 September 2021
- a review of police force leave arrangements on a without prejudice basis.
Their members voted to reject this and have indicated that they would be prepared to undertake industrial action to seek to improve the offer. Further consultation on this is taking place.
The Employers’ Side remain committed to trying to secure an agreement for 2021 and we have agreed to further discussions with the Trade Union Side which will take place this month.
