The LGA has produced an e-learning module on economic development aimed at council officers and members
Local authorities, have a key role to play in driving forward economic development, by bringing partners together, bridging the skills gap, helping businesses to thrive, delivering regeneration schemes and more.
This module provides an introduction to the key principles of economic development: people, pillars, partners, prosperity and plans.
It offers tips and guidance for officers and members, so they have some insight into the key issues involved in order to identify if and when to become involved in discussions as well as how to develop and deliver effective action plans to create a place that people can live, work and invest.
