Daniel

After studying Government and Politics and European Politics at Dundee University I applied for the ngdp in its first year.  I knew I wanted to work in government but didn't know exactly what I wanted to do, so the ngdp was perfect for me as it gave me the opportunity to see different aspects of local government before deciding on a career.

Joined the ngdp in 2003 after graduating from the University of Durham.  I was based at London Borough of Newham.  The ngdp was perfect for me as I knew that I wanted a career in the public rather than private sector but was unsure about which job to pursue.  The ngdp allowed me to work in many different areas of the council gaining senior project based experience from the outset in both front line and support services.
