Bradford is a partner in West Yorkshire and Harrogate Health and Care Partnership – a first-wave integrated care system (ICS). This case study forms part of our integrated care system (ICS) resource.

Since September 2020, Bradford’s Race Equality Network (REN) has been delivering the COVID-19 Prevention Project for BAME and Central Eastern European (CEE) communities, funded by Bradford Council’s Public Health department.

The Women’s Health Network in Bradford has been at the forefront of tackling the health inequalities women face for the past five years. It holds regular meetings, hosts talks, events, focus groups and workshops to influence service design and engage women from all communities.

Bradford council commissioned a specialist team to promote good oral health in children by working in primary schools, community events and private nurseries.

Staying Put has continued to ensure as far as possible the safety of women experiencing domestic abuse in the Bradford area

Brighton & Hove launched a voluntary healthy choice scheme 14 years ago for cafes, restaurants and takeaways and is now making it mandatory for its commissioned catering services to follow good practice.

This case study forms part of the What Good Looks Like report on people with a learning disability and autistic people. This co-produced report was commissioned from the Building the Right Support (BTRS) Advisory Group, as part of the wider action plan developed by the Building the Right Support Delivery Board. It has been supported by Partners in Care and Health.

Vulnerable groups such as travellers and asylum seekers are known to have lower rates of vaccination than the general population. In Brighton and Hove the local immunisation team has been working closely with health visitors, commissioned by the city council, to increase uptake.

A digital pathway for PrEP has been developed  in Brighton and Hove to allow people to manage their PrEP digitally, reducing the number of appointments they need to attend A community clinic has also been set up and has had great success in engaging seldom-seen groups
