The original 'Myth-Buster' guide was published by the national Adoption Leadership Board (ALB) on 11 November 2014 to clarify the meaning of a number of high profile court judgments on care and adoption order cases, notably Re B and Re B-S.
A number of further judgments have been issued since then, which wholly support the principal message of the original Myth-Buster guide, further emphasising that Re B and Re B-S do not alter the legal test for adoption. The ALB has therefore issued an addendum to the original guide to highlight the key messages from those additional judgments.
